Background
Supergut is a US gut health brand on a mission to improve metabolic health through science-backed nutrition. Founded in 2019, the company has emerged as a fast-growing player in the expanding gut health market.
Challenges
By late 2025, Supergut had already built strong momentum, with significant traffic flowing to its online store. But the conversion rate was still below target.
The team became focused on one goal: increasing conversion rate, fast.
Elisa Casanova, Senior DTC and Experience Manager, identified two things they needed to make that happen:
-
An A/B testing platform: The ability to validate decisions with real customer data instead of guessing.
-
Ease of use: A platform the team could use to make changes and launch tests independently.
That led them to Visually:
-
AI-powered A/B testing: Supergut could now build and launch tests in minutes, with no design or development dependency.
-
A CRO extension of the team: From strategy calls and Slack support to hands-on test creation, the Visually team became part of Supergut’s day-to-day workflow.
It’s incredibly easy to build tests on Visually without any coding background. Also, their team feels like part of our company, helping us launch, analyze, and prioritize new A/B test ideas. It’s far more than just a platform.”

Outcome
Soon after implementing Visually, Elisa and the team started collecting big wins. Here are a few of their successful A/B tests:
PDP: Testimonials
The team tested placing product-specific testimonials from real customers directly below the Add to Cart button, reinforcing trust at the moment of purchase.
The added social proof drove conversion rate uplifts across every product page tested.
Result: Up to 20.35% uplift in conversion rate.

Cart: Money-Back Guarantee
With limited space in the cart, especially on mobile, every message needs to earn its place. The team tested replacing the flexible payment message below the cart CTA with a stronger reassurance message: “30-day money-back guarantee”.
Prioritizing reassurance over payment flexibility proved highly effective.
Result: 16.1% uplift in conversion rate.
PLP: Mobile Hero Banner Removal
The Visually team suggested testing the removal of the hero banner from mobile collection pages to keep products visible above the fold. Elisa decided to test the idea, especially since it took only minutes to build, but expected little impact.
Surprisingly, it became one of Supergut’s biggest wins at the time, proving that conversion gains do not always come from adding more. Sometimes, removing clutter and giving the most important elements greater visibility is the strongest growth driver.
Result: 9.5% uplift in conversion rate.

PDP: Variant Names
On Supergut's product pages, shoppers had to click each color swatch to discover which flavor it represented, creating friction at a key decision point.
The team tested adding flavor names beside each swatch so shoppers could understand and compare their options instantly.
Greater clarity and fewer unnecessary clicks created a smoother path to purchase.
Result: 6% uplift in conversion rate.
Next Steps
When we started with Visually, I thought our testing roadmap would take months. Instead, we launched everything almost at once. Then I wondered, 'What's next?' That's when I started receiving monthly test ideas from Visually based on industry best practices, helping us keep the momentum going. In fact, some of our biggest wins came from those ideas!”

With an easy-to-use testing platform and a steady flow of new optimization ideas, experimentation is now part of Supergut’s day-to-day work. Next, the team plans to expand into personalization, tailoring the experience to different customer segments, such as new and returning shoppers, to keep improving the user experience and conversion rate even further.
